Perhaps I can help. Along with my work in the journalism field, I am a certified STILL Method Emotional Regulation and Therapeutic Art Coach, and a Level 2 Reiki practitioner, with ACCPH + IPHM accredited training and up-to-date DBS checks.
During my many years of working in the corporate world I have realised just how much we are all struggling with burnout and stress and how people crave calmness, connection, and genuine authenticity. I work intuitively to offer a personal 1-1 approach to holistic wellbeing. My wellness client list is kept small-scale for this very reason. You are not just another number in a world that doesn’t value you, and your time with me will not be rushed.

Therapeutic Writing and Art Coaching

I provide Reiki treatments and therapeutic coaching sessions at my Somerset-based home studio which is located a stone’s throw from Burnham-on-Sea’s town center and the seafront. When you book with me, you can expect calm and supported sessions that embrace the benefits of writing and creativity for holistic wellbeing.
Therapeutic art is not a craft class. It is not therapy. It is a structured way to help people express feelings that are too tangled, too large or too wordless to say out loud.
Therapeutic art and writing sessions may assist with anxiety, chronic fatigue, autoimmune illnesses, low confidence, stress, and much more. As an experienced journalist and emotional regulation aware theraeputic coach, I give clients the opportunity to be creative with their words, alongside calming wellbeing techniques.
Activities can include journaling, writing prompts, monthly seasonal themes, poetry, and creative writing. We also use therapeutic art techniques, emotional regulation, and much more. Nothing is set in stone, and you lead the way. You do not need to be a writer or an artist; the focus is on complete relaxation, not the work produced.
My therapeutic sessions are an enriching social activity and are suitable for everyone from busy professionals and corporate clients, to elderly individuals who enjoy creativity and reminiscing on times gone by. What is Reiki?
For those looking for the ultimate relaxing experience, I can arrange a dedicated Reiki session at a time convenient to you. Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, performed seated or lying down fully clothed with the exception of shoes. It can be a hands-on or non-physical touch treatment. I work best as a hands-on practitioner as I find gentle, therapeutic touch to be a highly beneficial part of the session and to regulate the nervous system, especially with clients who suffer from chronic fatigue and similar issues. However, I’m always more than happy to work to whatever feels right for you and we can discuss this at the start of every appointment.
How can Reiki help?
As a respected international journalist, it has always been in my nature to cultivate genuine connections with people from all walks of life, listening to them as they tell their story. When combined with my holistic qualifications this has enabled me to develop a uniquely personal blend of therapeutic services in a calm and supportive environment.
Reiki promotes relaxation and reduces stress, aiding in pain management and supporting the body’s natural healing processes. People may use it to help with issues such as fibromyalgia, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue, grief, emotional trauma, and to improve sleep quality. As a holistic wellbeing expert who is regularly consulted by the media both nationally and worldwide, you can rest assured that you are in good hands. Reiki is considered a complementary holistic treatment, but if you have serious underlying health conditions, please check with your GP before our session.

As a registered STILL Method Emotional Regulation practitioner, I also ensure that you are given time to talk about and process your emotions during your time with me if that is something you would find helpful.
Reiki can aid relaxation and emotional regulation by activating our Parasympathetic Response and promoting the “rest and restore” state, counteracting chronic stress. I am hugely passionate about the beneficial effects of Reiki and therapeutic writing on our emotional and nervous system and am constantly developing my knowledge in this area to ensure that my clients receive the very best experience during every session.
